From My Father’s Daughter.

Posted in Uncategorized by Tinay on June 19, 2011

I once created a poem for my dad back in grade 4 or 5, and I didn’t expect I’d be reading it in front of the whole school population. To add to that, the school secretly called him to be part of the audience that afternoon. Imagine my face when they acknowledged him! Now if only I remembered what I wrote; it’d be total nostalgia all over!:)

And during my 18th birthday celebration, right when he was about to say some opening remarks, he deliberately read a letter I wrote to him during my pre-hormonal years which I clearly didn’t  remember writing! And to convince me that I was the author, he raised the folded paper and to my horror, it was my handwriting! My insides cringed while I gasped in pure disbelief! Haha 🙂

Anyway, Happy Father’s day to all the dads out there, whether or not you once snuck into an audience to hear your daughter’s shaky little voice! Or whether or not you divulged the contents of your daughter’s personal letter from yesteryears. Most importantly, happy father’s day to my own DAD! ♥

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!
