This Seat’s Not Taken.

School fever is back! And will be attacking my system for the next 10 months.

Today, I have once again set foot on the institution that reminded me of how horrible my performance could become if I didn’t get a good grasp on the art of time-management.  The day began with a mass at the Main Social Hall, followed by a 30-minute orientation on what to keep 124 sophomore asses busy with for the remainder of the year.

Yes, it was just the remaining 124 of us that made it a notch higher, and I know I would certainly miss some good people who had to lag behind.  It was a bit of a shocker to know that we now fit in an amphitheater smaller than our previous one, while still leaving some seats empty even as facilitators have seated themselves.  They then handed out our daily schedule for the next three weeks and unfortunately, the subjects were complete aliens to me. Without a warning, some lecture on microbiology immediately began post lunch. Made me think that we haven’t really had lectures since forever! PBL is the newest thing! 🙂  And as much as I knew I had to jot down something, my hand just wouldn’t budge, my attention span was down to zero, and my reticular activating system was an utter failure!

The wicked heat even jeopardized the whole situation! Despite the lesser crowd and the air conditioned room, El Nino was such a powerful maniac that listening to some new medical jargon wasn’t exactly a very comfortable thing to do that time. Some news flash regarding our first exam set for next Tuesday did not help either. Sheesh.

Meaner subjects, heavier workload and unbearable conditions did come with the academic year upgrade. But did it really have to mean lesser classmates, smaller amphitheaters and more empty seats too? Guess I would have to start hitting the books sooner than I thought. Because for one, I swear I wouldn’t dare leave my seat empty on that amphitheater. At least not for the next 10 months. 🙂

Laughs. Loves and Save Me a Seat.
